#120 – Macrotrends & Travel Insurance

Quote, Podcast, Tool, Hack, Tweet.

Good morning from Siena!

Last day here in Tuscany after the most amazing wedding… huge congrats to Mikey & Eva!

From here, back to Florence, then catching the train to Rome, spending the night, and then it’s back to Sydney.

Perfect little stint away, feeling extremely grateful.

Let’s jump in.

Quote I’ve been thinking about:

“Sooner or later, we all sit down to a banquet of consequences.”

Robert Louis Stevenson

Podcast I listened to:

The Diary Of A CEO: Tim Grover

Tim Grover is the performance expert who helped to raise the game of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant to the legendary levels everyone knows them for.

Taking over Michael Jordan’s personal performance team when he was in his early twenties, he’s been working with the world’s top athletes for over three decades.

Very powerful insights into some of the strongest minds of our time.

Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube.

Tool I’ve been using:

Macrotrends

Macrotrends.net is a fantastic resource that provides research, live data, and over 20,000 interactive charts from markets around the world.

Everything from listed equities to foreign currencies, commodities, and global metrics like clean water access.

And it’s completely free.

Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to access data critical to investment research and decision-making.

Hack I’ve been using:

Freely Travel Insurance

Following on from the travel hack I shared last week, I thought I’d double down and share another…

Another important (and albeit, boring) consideration when travelling is insurance.

For the last few trips, I’ve used Freely and can highly recommend it.

Comparatively low-cost, and their user experience is seriously second-to-none.

Perhaps the best feature is that their app allows you to ‘add-on’ coverage live in real time.

For example, if you’re on your holiday and decide one day to rent a car, you simply open the Freely app and add rental car coverage for just that single day, rather than paying for rental car coverage the entire time.

They’ve managed to construct their offering in a way that is seamless, flexible, and optimised for young travellers.

Hence why Gen Z represents their biggest customer segment…

Check them out here.

10% discount code I found on their website: EXPLORE10
