Quote I’ve been thinking about:
“The amount a person uses their imagination is inversely proportional to the amount of punishment they will receive for using it.”
Podcast I listened to:
AI: Where Will The Power Come From?
It’s all well and good if “everything is going to be done by AI”.
But…how?
How will electricity grids around the world support the heightened power demands from this technology?
What role do data centres really have to play?
How is the intersection between two industries: technology (fast-paced and lacking regulation) and utilities (slower-paced and heavily regulated) going to pan out?
Fascinating discussion between some key members of Goldman Sachs’ Natural Resources team.
Highly recommend.

Article I read:
6 Steps to Building Wealth in Your 30s
Managed to come across this really great article in the AFR about wealth creation: Six steps to building wealth in your 30s.
While the article is targeted towards a specific demographic, the strategies are applicable to pretty much anyone.
Although the write-up didn’t necessarily contain anything I hadn’t already been told or heard before, it reinforced one thing: the simple stuff works.
The stories behind some of the people who were interviewed I found to be quite inspiring as well – just everyday people who are proactive with their personal finances and are beginning to reap the rewards for doing so.
Check out the article here.
Like me, it could just nudge you to do a few of the things you know you should probably already be doing…
Hack I’ve been using:
How to Kickstart High Frequency
Some days, you wake up feeling great.
Great sleep, great mood, great energy.
What I like to think of as high frequency.
You haven’t really done anything to engineer it per se, but all systems are go and you’re ready to attack the day.
Other days…not so much.
You didn’t change your routine or schedule in any way – it’s just one of those days.
Low motivation, a little sluggish, lower energy…
Low frequency.
On these days, (and hopefully they’re few and far between), the quicker and more effectively we can transition from low frequency to high frequency, the better.
Not only is it better for our relationships and productivity, but just our overall wellbeing.
Since I had one of these low frequency days recently, I decided to document a few of the tactics that I normally use to kickstart high frequency.
With absolutely no science to back this up, this is what usually tends to work for me:
1) Get off social media.
Goes without saying, but doom scrolling hardly does wonders for your cognitive state. Turn your phone off.
2) Go for a walk.
Gets the blood pumping and clears your head. Made infinitely better when it’s blue skies and the sun is out. “Going for more walks” is also just a general principle that I’ve always tried to focus on.
3) Stretch for 5-10 minutes.
Makes you feel more agile and more capable (notwithstanding my previous comment about science, there is actually an abundance of research supporting the psychological benefits of stretching).
4) Listen to upbeat music.
One of the most sure fire ways of kickstarting a boost in mood and energy.
5) Have a coffee.
A healthy dose of caffeine never goes astray. When you’re having a low frequency day, try get yourself to a coffee shop instead of just having one at home. It makes a difference.
6) Hydrate.
If you’re feeling low, you probably haven’t had enough water. Drink some.
7) Spend 10 minutes reading something.
Pick up that book that you’ve been meaning to read and give it a few minutes of your time. It might just be the creative escape your mind needs.
8) Speak with friends/family.
Sometimes, all we need is a bit of social interaction. The opportunity to get out of our own heads.
9) Do something kind for others.
There is nothing more uplifting than service.
10) Pray.
Always helps.

So that’s my protocol.
If you have anything to add, I’m all ears.
Tweet I liked:
OpenAI’s gpt-oss Could Be A Game Changer
My 1 pager on what you need to know about today's OpenAI's gpt-oss announcement
OpenAI just made it possible to build AI for healthcare, finance, defense etc. The $300B+ markets that were off-limits are now wide open.
