Quote I’ve been thinking about:
“You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm.”
Podcast I listened to:
The Diary Of A CEO with Steven Bartlett: 5 Scientific Rules for Making & Breaking Habits
Super practical solo episode from Steven Bartlett on 5 scientific rules for making and breaking habits:
Stress is your puppet master.
Know your cues.
Don’t focus on stopping bad habits, focus on breaking them.
You need a better reason to quit.
Willpower is not enough.
Even though this episode is 2 years old, its importance and utility are equally significant as we tackle everything that the new year throws our way.
Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube.

Resource I’ve been using:
Chris Williamson’s Annual Review Template
Came across this awesome resource from Chris Williamson the other week and completed it over the holiday period.
It’s an Annual Review Template containing 49 questions that prompt you to reflect on the year that’s passed and also to plan for the year ahead.
Some of my favourite questions to ponder were:
How has this year gone?
What habit or system accounted for most of my success?
What are the most valuable ways I spend my time?
What would I do this year if I wanted to make 85-year-old me miserable?
What are the things I do to make my day go great?
What would have had to have happened by the end of next year for me to look back on the year and consider it a success?
I really enjoyed going through this exercise and found it an incredibly powerful way of looking back in order to move forward.
You can download it for free here.
Definitely going to be turning this into a yearly ritual.
Hack you should try:
Read Some Fiction
One of the things that I’m going to be trying to do in 2025 is read more fiction novels.
It is an incredibly easy way to expand one’s mind and get lost in the art of creative story-telling.
Even just reading a few pages per night instead of watching 15 minutes of Netflix before bed.
Just finished reading The Trial by Franz Kafka – wasn’t great and wouldn’t recommend it to be honest, but it was definitely a unique read.
Starting Great Expectations by Charles Dickens tonight.
Keen.
Tweet I liked:
Prepare For None Of It To Work
We must be willing to roll the dice and lose. Prepare, at the end of the day, for none of it to work.
